Helen Hyder

BTF Lvl 2 Tri Coach

I started teaching swimming while at University and after a few years of training and competing with Manchester Triathlon Club I wanted to give something back to the club that I loved being a part of. When Man Tri ‘resurrected’ the junior arm of the club in 2008 I began coaching all elements of triathlon with the juniors.
I have spent the last 9 years delivering swim, run and sometimes even bike sessions for Manchester Triathlon Club (both junior and Senior club), Triathlon England NW Academy and more recently leading a run group for Ramsbottom Running club.

Coaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is simple – I want people to enjoy the sport they have chosen, whether it is swim, bike , run or all three. I want them to improve, be engaged and achieve their personal goals. Whatever these goals maybe – swimming twice a week, completing 400m without stopping or an Ironman, I hope to encourage people to achieve these goals by helping them on this journey, drawing on my coaching skills, new research and past experience.
