ASA Lvl 2 Swim Coach

My love for swimming probably started in 1966 spending endless afternoons splashing around the brine pool on RAF Seleta, Singapore. My coaching career started less glamorously at Moss Side as an assistant swimming teacher supporting new Northern Wave Swimming Club members and progressing from there to become level 2 swim coach.

Coaching Philosophy?

Do I have one? I guess so, put simply that swimming should be fun, in so far as we should take away a degree of pleasure from any activity we engage in. As a coach I endeavour to help people to gain knowledge, awareness and enjoyment from swimming, so that they are able improve, succeed and sustain performance. I gain a great deal of satisfaction from coaching people at all levels and try to enliven my sessions with innovative ideas (pinched, adapted or researched).
