Manchester Triathlon Club is one of the largest multi sport clubs in England and Triathlon England’s North West Club of the Year 2023.
We offer 19 sessions per week with our British Triathlon Federation qualified coaches.

Why should you join us?
- We’ve been around for more than 35 years as a triathlon club and we’re still run by volunteers for our members.
- We organise a very popular sprint triathlon each year (voted Triathlon England Club Event of the Year in 2018 and North West Club Event of the Year in 2019 and 2023) as well as aquathlons and duathlons.

Membership
You can access all these sessions for free with our Gold membership or by signing up to our direct debit payment option.
Alternatively, you can pay as you go with our Bronze membership option – it’s £6 per session with a yearly payment of £60.
Gold and Bronze Memberships last for 12 months from the date of purchase.
We also have a Student membership available – this is currently reduced to £130 and runs until 31 August 2024. Membership will then renew at £200 and will run from September 2024 – August 2023.
We welcome Youth members aged between 15-17, which will allow access to all senior Club sessions if accompanied by an adult member. We also welcome Junior members aged between 7 and 14 who have access to their own sessions.

Distance: 750m swim, 24km bike, 5k run
Price: £55
Entry Limit: 225 competitors
Aquathlons
The popular Tuesday evening Aquathlons are held at Trafford Water Sports Centre, Sale Water Park. This is a fantastic race venue with the added benefit of a 2 lap swim and 2 lap run course – keeping it simple for optimal race conditions!

With a race start time of 6:45pm and 6:40pm for juniors, these events make a perfect mid-week hit-out!
Distances:
- Adult/15+ – 800m swim, 5k run
- Tristar3 (Aged 13 or 14 on 31st Dec 2022) – 400m swim/2.5k run
Price:
- Adults/Full Distance – £16
- Tristar 3 (400m/2.5km) – £8
Please note: If you are not a current member of British Triathlon, to participate in this event, you are required to become a member of British Triathlon and hold a race licence. You must either become a Core or Ultimate annual member here or purchase a single use Race Pass for your race on the Event Page.
Entry Limit: 80 competitors per event
23/24 Student Membership
We offer a membership option to all fulltime students that allows them to access to over 13 sessions per week with our British Triathlon Federation qualified coaches.
This will run from September – August every year and cost £200 (reduced to £170 for remaining part of the year) which will include access to all training sessions. This equates to attending less than one session per week if you were a Bronze member.
Our memberships
We’ve got two types of membership:
Gold membership – pay a fixed fee and come to as many sessions as you like for the year. If you plan on attending 2 or more sessions a week then gold membership is the best choice and value for money.
Bronze membership – pay an upfront fee (£60) and then every time you train (£6)
