Our members love a bit of type 2 fun and cross-country is no exception!

Every race is different but you can expect some mud, rain, snow, knee deep puddles, fun, laughs and most importantly… Cake!

Today was no exception at Woodbank Park! Well done to everyone who ran the mud bath, survived the hills and crossed the finish line stood up!

See you all at Tatton Park for the next one on the 10th January 💪🏼

During Summer, we hold our club Aquathlons at Sale Water Park 🏊🏼‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️🏊🏼‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️ These are open to members and non-members, any ability and juniors are able to take part too!

There also a great chance for some friendly club competition ⚫️🔴⚫️🔴 Who will be coming out on top next year?

Julie has had an amazing season ✨ One highlight was not only taking 2nd in her age group at @the_lakesman and the @brittri champs, she also came 1st in her age group in the @triathlonengland championships 🏆

Our 5km club event where first across the line, wins 🏆 But you set off in reverse speed order!

There were also bonus prizes up for grabs for who could win closest to their entry time… either wearing a watch or running ‘naked’!

Coach @charlie_harding17 took on and conquered @aahevents Slateman Standard 🏆

He was pushed on the swim then his slick transitions saw him open up a gap which became on unassailable lead, crossing the line first and taking top spot on the podium ahead of @barratt_tri

We have been so lucky to have Charlie sharing his knowledge and expertise with members of the club and we’re excited to see what 2026 has in store for you 💪🏼

Member Shout Out! Last weekend, club member Jacky

Member Shout Out!

Last weekend, club member Jacky got awarded the Millie Robinson Veterans Trophy at the Manchester and District Ladies Cycling Association annual lunch and prize presentation.

She was sat amongst a group of inspiring women, who have dedicated their time and energy to cycling and promoting cycling, particularly time trials, for women. Jacky has played a crucial role within the club encouraging more women into the sport.

The Millie Robinson Veterans Trophy was one of the trophies within the Best All Rounder (BAR) Competitions organised by M&DLCA. She was also awarded a medal as part of the BAR Championship 🏅

Millie Robinson was one of the pioneers in women’s cycling, she was a British time trial and road racing champion in the 1950s. She also won the first Tour de France Féminin in 1955 and broke the women’s world hour record in 1958. Millie donated the trophy in recognition of the help the M&DLCA had given her during her racing career.

Well done to everyone who took part in the very muddy cross country event at Sefton Park yesterday as part of the UK Athletics Cross Championships 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

📣 12 weeks Learn To Swim course – Starting January!

12 weeks Learn To swim course will begin week commencing 5th January, and it’s open to both non-members and club members.

These sessions are designed especially for complete beginners, so if you’ve always wanted to learn to swim, now’s the perfect time!

You can choose one of the two options:

⏰Monday: 8:00pm – 9:00pm
⏰Tuesday: 7:30am – 8:30am

📍Location: Moss Side Leisure Centre, Hulme High Street, Hulme, Manchester, M15 5NN

💰 Fee: For Gold members: FREE
💰 Fee: For Bronze members: Usual Token Cost
💰 Fee: New Member: £120 for the full 12 weeks
(If you decide to join the club afterwards, this cost can be deducted from your membership!)

We’ll be limiting each session to 8 swimmers to ensure quality coaching, so places will fill up quickly.

More than just a triathlon club… We are so luck

More than just a triathlon club…

We are so lucky to have so many amazing athletes in our club who don’t just focus on triathlon. Club member, Enrique, has just completed one of his hardest challenges to date; a 22km marathon swim in Acapulco Bay, Mexico 🏊🏼‍♂️

Even though the race began at 3.30am, the waters were still 28-30 degrees so it was incredibly important he stayed hydrated throughout his mammoth swim. He had to battle through the heat, currents and mental barriers to complete the gruelling swim in an impressive 7 hours 19 minutes 💪🏼

Enrique was completing this event to raise money for World Villages for Children and we are so incredibly proud of you; well done! For now he has earned a well deserved rest but we can’t wait to see what your next challenge is!

Huuuuuuge well done to club members Lewis and Katie who took part in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Marbella. And what a weekend it looked!

@katievanntriathlon has had an amazing season and this showcased all the hard work she has put in to come away with a championship worthy performance 🏆 She was quite possibly the most smiley triathlete out there on the course, cruising through the field on the run 💪🏼

After numerous podiums this season, @lewis.eccleston was coming into this race, just 7 weeks after taking the win at Ironman Wales 🐉 It was fantastic to see him perform exceptionally well to finish 11th in his age group and be top British finisher! We can’t wait to see how your next season goes 💪🏼

Well done to every finisher, what an achievement to just make the start line!

Well done to all our members and everyone who was out racing in September.
Here is a collection of pictures and shout outs to some of those members and events!
Starting with a win at Ironman Wales for @lewis.eccleston and a win and the fastest swim for end to end of Windermere for @barratt_tri!
Roy completed the Chillswim Triple Crown and raised money for the Seashell Trust!
We also had members at Copenhagen Half marathon @s_pollard78 and @hattiepearson.
@evansdeano came 7th overall at Sandman.
@richard.tennant.808 and Jamie taking part in the Ironman World Championships in Nice and @alexdickinson_performance getting a spot for the 70.3 Championships!
We also had @rocketboyracer taking part and coming 2nd in the Aquathlon as part of the North West Series for the Juniors - great racing!
There were also lots of members out at @parkrunuk across Manchester as part of our Parkrun Tourism and internationally as well - always the best way to start a saturday (other than when a storm is happening!)
To round up we also had two club events - Chase the Ace and hosted the final (and additional) Aquathlon at Sale Water Park.
