Well done to everyone who took part. Whether you ran, jogged or walked you earned that medal and should wear it with pride. The early mornings, the long runs, the extra carbs were all worth while 💪🏼

The crowds were amazing, the volunteers were something else and the Manchester weather surprised everyone ☀️

Well done to all our members, past and present who took on the 26.2 miles.🏅

Massive congratulations to everyone who took on the Manchester Marathon yesterday — incredible effort, determination, and grit from start to finish 🚀

And a huge shoutout to our athlete who conquered a Ironman Valencia 70.3 — an outstanding achievement that takes serious dedication, both physically and mentally 💪

We’re so proud of you all. 

A big thank you as well to our amazing cheer squad — your energy, support, and encouragement on the sidelines truly make a difference. It never goes unnoticed 🙌

Massive cheers to the club! 🙌

Dave and Kim completed the BLDSA 12 mile / 12 hour swim challenge on Saturday 🏊‍♂️ — a tough but incredibly rewarding one that really tested both body and mind.

Toby smashed the Howgill Marathon on Sunday. Another tough and mental challenge.

We also have Ben representing us in Mallorca!

Being a mum is already a full-time job — Being a mum is the toughest endurance sport.

Thank you for showing us that strength comes in many forms — both in sport and in life.

This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating the incredible mums in our club who balance training, work and family life. We asked one of our triathlon mums how she makes it work.

Q: How do you balance training, work and family life?
Fiona: I don’t really have a typical day — I just fit training in when I can. My work is flexible and I can work from home part of the week. My husband also runs, so we often tag-team in the evenings so we can both get a session in. During the week I do shorter sessions, then try to fit in a longer ride or run every other weekend.

Q: What keeps you motivated after becoming a mum?
Fiona: Sport has always been part of my identity, so continuing to train helps me still feel like myself. It’s also a great mental break. Being a parent also helps put races into perspective — you don’t dwell on disappointing performances for long!

Q: What advice would you give to mums who feel they don’t have time to train?
Fiona: Every little bit counts. Even a 20-minute run helps. You can squeeze in a turbo session at lunchtime, run to nursery pick-up, or use a running buggy. Walking uphill is also great training — especially post-partum when returning to sport.

Q: What would you say to mums thinking about joining the club?
Fiona: Don’t worry about how many sessions you can attend — even a couple each month is great. And don’t worry about pace either, there will always be someone at your speed.
