Masters Swimming

Masters swimming is not daunting or elitist, the events are open to all abilities from the very fastest to those with a more sedate pace. We can incorporate both sprint meets and long distance events according to your preference. It is a great focus for the Autumn and Winter months if you fancy a goal outside the triathlon season.

As an ASA affiliated club you are able to swim for Manchester Triathlon Club in masters swimming events. In order to do this you need to become an ASA member through us. For more info, please contact our swimming coordinator [email protected]

Once affiliated you are able to enter any local, or regional event. Some national and international events having qualifying times, but they are usually not especially onerous. The best way to find out more is to read the Swim England Masters hub.

As well as rankings, records and results you will find the Masters competition calendar. Some of the events that are popular with MTC members include:

• Feb: North West Region Masters, Blackpool
• May: British National Masters (Long Course)
• July: Cheshire County Masters, Stockport
• July: England Open Water Champs, Sheffield
• Oct: England National Masters (Short Course), Sheffield
