This year is a very exciting year with the club, as we have had a re-structure of the coaching team. We said a sad farewell to our previous head coach, Kate, and have now split the role three ways to help manage the club and move it forwards. We would like to introduce ourselves and let you know a little bit about one another.

Sarah Roberts will be taking over the Senior head coach role, so any queries or questions related to the seniors should be directed to her. Sarah is really looking forward to helping to continue to move the club forwards and look for new opportunities to develop the club even further. She has been a primary school teacher for the past 6 years, leading PE in her current school, and previously worked in the leisure industry, so sport has always been a big part of her life. Her passion started with swimming but since joining the club 6 years ago her love for triathlon has continued to grow and she is looking forward to sharing her knowledge with you. Sarah began coaching juniors with the club over 2 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed taking on the development swim sessions on a Friday and now a Monday night. Sarah is keen to see the club continue to grow and she enjoys seeing the achievements of all of our amazing athletes each and every week. Please feel free to contact Sarah with any queries about our club at [email protected]

Adam Naylor will be taking over the role of Junior head coach with our ever-expanding junior section of the club. It has been fantastic to see our junior members continue to train week in week out and we are really excited about where they are heading. We are sure there is a future Olympian out there! Adam has a 17-year history of managing and preventing sports injuries as a physiotherapist, developing rehabilitation plans, developing training plans and managing athletes at both senior and junior levels from a sport science perspective. Any queries or questions relating to the juniors should be sent to Adam at [email protected]

Caz Dawe will be our Coaching Coordinator and will work between all coaches to liaise and organise our bookings and events. She is an integral part of our team and by completing lots of admin and organising of our club, it helps with the day to day running of the club, making everything run smoothly. Her passion for swimming can be seen on many levels – she is a teacher, coach, a Swim England tutor, team manager, volunteer, Masters swimmer. Caz has been lucky to have worked with a broad spectrum of swimmers over the years in a number of roles from adults nervous in the water, international triathletes, to national swimmers and world championship synchronised swimmers. These provide her with a wide knowledge and experience base across the aquatic disciplines. Please contact Caz if you have any day-to-day queries about the club on [email protected]

We all regularly coach various sessions throughout the week so please say hello if you are new to the club or haven’t met us yet and we look forward to meeting you all as we work together this year. We will be sending more details out about exciting events coming up this year, so please check both your email and the Facebook page for more information.
