Jacky Taylor

Yoga Teacher

About me
I began studying Iyengar yoga in January 1999. Having come from a background of health and fitness, I thought doing yoga might keep me fit and I really just wanted to give it a try as the classes were around the corner from where I worked. I was soon hooked and have since discovered the many benefits of yoga. It is now an integral part of my life and I’m keen to share the many benefits of yoga with others.

In October 2005 I qualified as an Iyengar yoga teacher at the Introductory level and obtained my Level 3 teaching certificate in March 2010.

I attend classes and workshops regularly myself, both online and in-person, and have travelled to India three times for intensive study periods.

I feel that Iyengar yoga not only keeps you fit and well physically, it really helps on an emotional level keeping the mind steady and calm.

Interests
I’m an active member of the Manchester Triathlon Club and enjoy attending sessions with the club and taking part in events and triathlons.

Coaching Philosophy
I’m delighted to be able to offer a yoga session to Manchester Triathlon Club members as yoga can bring a number of benefits to athletes including increasing range of movement, strength, body and breath awareness, concentration, self-confidence and mental calm.
